Hello!
My name is Alejandra Garcia-Ponce and I am very excited to join the PREPARE study team. I was born in Matamoros, Mexico and moved to Cleveland, Ohio when I was 5 years old. I was raised in a home where the primary language was Spanish.
I graduated from Cleveland State University in 2017 with my Bachelor’s in Health Science. I am in the process of completing my Master’s in Public Health degree in the Spring of 2021.
I joined the PREPARE study in February 2020, and I have been training to conduct interviews for future study participants. I have also been helping to translate interview guides into Spanish.
I invite those whose primary language is not English to participate in this study and look forward to speaking with you.

Mi nombre es Alejandra Garcia-Ponce y estoy muy contenta de poder ser parte de el estudio PREPARE.
Nací en México y me moví a Cleveland cuando tenía 5 años. Durante mi niñez y cuando fui creciendo, en mi casa solo se hablaba español.
Me gradué de Cleveland State University en 2017 con mi Licenciatura en Ciencias de la Salud. Estoy en el proceso de terminar mi Maestría en Salud Pública en la primavera del 2021.
Yo me uní al estudio de PREPARE en febrero del 2020, y he estado entrenando para poder conducir entrevistas con futuros participantes del estudio. También he estado ayudando a traducir guías para entrevistar, de inglés a español.
Quiero invitar a las personas quienes su primer lenguaje no es inglés para que participen en el estudio PREPARE y espero tener la oportunidad de hablar con usted.
